Canada Day
So it is Canada Day. Usually a time of national celebration. This time around, though, I am filled with trepidation.
First of all, it's hot. Africa hot. Or at least as close to that as you get in southern Ontario. Canada Day brings fireworks. Fireworks create more heat, and thus, more smog. Albeit, minute, almost immeasurable amounts. But still....
More troubling is the week-end situation. Canada Day is a Friday. So, three-day week-end. Last week-end was a two-day week-end. If this trend continues, what the hell's going to happen? We'll have more days off in a year than France.
Bet Quebec would be celebrating Canada Day then!

I say we drive to Quebec today and drive around shouting good Canada Day tidings to all. Really, what are they going to do? Shoot us? Wait...damn....
Ach but Cuba is WARM. You may even say Cuba is HOT. Quebec, not so much. Plus you can't turn right on red lights -- what kind of hell is that???
The whole point of the takeover was so that we can lounge on a beach (or " in church" if you will...) while you run the country. We can make up our own holidays in Cuba too. But one condition -- we must remain a communist state. Otherwise, what's the point? I wonder where Marx is hiding himself these days.....
Well we might want to be a little less communist...
Then we will give the cubans a lot of free shoes and canned meat...
And we'd be revered as gods...
Well maybe thats excessive...
